HUYE - Police in Huye District are holding a woman suspected in the gruesome murder of three children in Rusatira Sector on Friday. Francoise Dusabe, 38, a resident of Kafumba Cell is suspected taking part the murder of her step-children; Philemon Niyomugabo, 8, Habanabashaka, 5 and Jean Niyongana 3.
HUYE - Police in Huye District are holding a woman suspected in the gruesome murder of three children in Rusatira Sector on Friday.
Francoise Dusabe, 38, a resident of Kafumba Cell is suspected taking part the murder of her step-children; Philemon Niyomugabo, 8, Habanabashaka, 5 and Jean Niyongana 3.
The children had come to visit their father, Daniel Habimana, who separated from their mother five years ago. They were living with their grandmother.
According to the Police, the killers used sharp objects to stab the children in the face and neck. Their mutilated bodies were found on the house floor.
Dusabe denied any involvement in the killings, she said that she only realised that the children were dead upon her return from an early morning visit to a relative.
"I left home early to attend a civil marriage ceremony of a relative, I returned home at around 10am only to find the bodies of the children in the door way and inside the house on the floor,” said Dusabe.
