I advice 2008 candidates to learn from last year’s results. The performance was poor and crippled with cheating. All students ought to be with a vision for being at school. Your vision will give you a clear area of focus for concentration.

Where you fall short of attention in education, please seek for help from your parents, elders or teachers. They are good counselors.

Try setting an average grade or mark as your target right from the first term. This will help you assess your weaknesses and strength as final examination time approaches.

Now that it is still beginning of the first term, draft a revising timetable. Try to make sure you budget your time accordingly and in relation to other valuable activities you are entitled to do.

Make sure you follow your timetable especially when it comes to subjects that you are weak at. You can also ask your parents for more time when asked to help in domestic work but only if you are doing serious revision. When drafting a timetable, spare sometime for relaxation.

"Work without play makes Tom a dull boy.”

This does not mean that you are supposed to keep all day playing. This should be for refreshing your mind with a joke, a walk, or a drink. For subjects with calculations like mathematics, try to budget at least half an hour daily to do some calculations especially on a topic that you feel is harder for you.

Also make friends you think are of great help. If John for example is good at Mathematics, then ask him to always help you whenever you have a problem. Two of you can fix time to do revision.
