In a way of transforming the way people use their mobile phones, Rwandatel has partnered with a HEHE Ltd company to provide Rwandatel subscribers with another reason to use their SIM cards.

The technology will allow Rwandatel subscribers play a quiz game were they will be rewarded for each question answered, give directions to any place in Kigali, chat texts, access news, student results and data collection called Survey-full.

Rwandatel’s Marketing and Product Development Manager, Franklin Masinde said that applications will help charge the way subscribers use their phones and also provide valuable information.

"We are adding value to the way mobile phones are used as well as helping young entrepreneurs,” Masinde said.
The technology developed by five University students will help in transforming the usage of mobile phones in Rwanda from simply a communication tool to an information access tool.

HEHE Ltd’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Clairyce K. Iribagiza said that the company is a mobile applications and software development entity that provides Information Technology solutions to businesses, organizations and individuals.

"Our vision is to provide businesses, organisations and individuals with mobile solutions apart from just receiving, calling and surfing,” Iribagiza explained.

To apply for any application, users will be charged SMS frees to access the information or play the quiz game.
