According to the article that ran in The New Times dated January 30 2008, fuel prices in Rwanda are expected to stabilise despite the escalating violence in Kenya. Fuel stocks are to be increased and settle fuel crisis in the country.

With the arrival of fuel tankers from Mombasa transporting fuel to Uganda, Rwanda, DRC and Juba, it is clear that the fuel crisis may be coming to an end. Throughout the East African region, fuel prices have been increasing since the violence in Kenya broke out.

However, Rwanda’s story might take a different turn because fuel trucks are witnessed daily arriving at Gatuna from Malaba border. My appreciation goes to the concerned authorities.
