The recent news that Rwanda has been ranked sixth less corrupt country in Africa with a score of 4.0 out of 10 and 66 globally is amazing. This only proves that good and more good comes out of Africa. This revelation by Transparency International’s latest global Corruption Perceptions Index 2010, only show a fair slant at how clearly Rwandans live.

I would like to encourage all leaders at different public and private institutions to take this as a reward for working hard and keep the faith of remaining honest.

More so, a less corrupt nation only depicts a democratically mature nation. In my point of view, corruption is the biggest virus that attacks democracies. If Rwanda has stepped up in the fight against corruption, it only means that She has proven that they are democratically mature. 

Let’s not relax and take it for granted that fighting corruption comes easy. It comes with high determination and commitment by the public to responsibly make choices that affect them positively. This is called democracy and no one else can give it to Rwandans save themselves.
