Superettan (Swedish 2nd division league) Osters 2-1 Trollhattan

FORMER Amavubi skipper Olivier Karekezi scored for Osters over the weekend to give the Swedish second division club a lifeline of avoiding the drop.

Osters secured the important 2-1 win over Trollhattan thanks to goals from Karekezi and Freddy Borg.
Last week, the midfielder cum striker produced a man of the match display as Osters held Degerfors to a 1-all draw.
Osters are still stuck in 14th place with 29 points.

In 2006, Karekezi, who has still failed to force his way back into Amavubi’s squad, scored 11 goals for Helsingborg to finish as the side’s top scorer. In January 2008, he moved to Ham-Kam but failed to establish himself in the starting eleven.

Early this year (March), he joined Osters IF on a two-year deal.
