‘Why democracy?’ screened at Goethe-Institut

On Tuesday October 19, a film entitled ‘Why democracy?’ was screened at Goethe-Institut Liaison Office Kigali.
Goethe-Institut is located within the premises of the Social Recreational Centre (CSR), Kacyiru.

The film was screened in two different parts. The first one was in English and started at 6.00 pm, while the French session began at 8:00 pm.

‘Why Democracy?’ is a documentary film series produced by Steps International.  The series consists of 10 films depicting independent documentary filmmakers’ personal perception of and experience with democracy; broadcast by 42 different broadcasters worldwide between the 8th and the 18th of October 2007.

The series was accompanied by a global interactive conversation about Democracy that took place in real time, in an interactive atmosphere.

Every Tuesday, Goethe-Institut screens international films.
