FLAVIEN Ndamukunda has blamed inadequate training for failing to retain the Kenya International Beach Volleyball tournament on Sunday.

Ndamukunda and his partner Jean Luc Mbonyuwontuma succumbed to a straight sets (9-21, 11-21) defeat against Ibrahim Idori and Bella Evans of Kenya.

"We only have ourselves to blame. We did not do enough training. In the finals, we were very tired and no match for the Kenyans,” a disappointed Ndamukunda conceded.
The APR pair pocketed a consolation Rwf143, 000 for their effort.

The two day tourney attracted participants from Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania.
