The Chilean miners escape were the feel good story of the year
Editor, As I watched the predicament of the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped 700 meters under the ground for 69 days, I was truly frightened. I thought that the entire thing would end in tragedy. That is why I almost cried in joy when all of them were rescued from the bowels of the earth.

As I watched the predicament of the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped 700 meters under the ground for 69 days, I was truly frightened. I thought that the entire thing would end in tragedy. That is why I almost cried in joy when all of them were rescued from the bowels of the earth.
For on long moment, I believe that I, and along with the rest of humanity, shared a commonality. We were all Chileans. Viva Chile!
