KIGALI - President Paul Kagame and Prime Minister Bernard Makuza Thursday evening, hosted their freshly sworn-in Cabinet Ministers to a cocktail party at Prime Holdings in Kimihurura.

The Head of State reminded them not to forget their obligations and to always work as a team to achieve the set goals.

Kagame told the Ministers that the government must work as a team because when one ministry fails in its endeavours, it affects the others.

He added that the success of each ministry will depend on how the goals that the government set for itself are achieved, as well as how the lives of the Rwandans, whom the government is there to serve, change for the better.

The President, however, noted that challenges remain, some internally and others originating from outside the country, calling for a need to confront them, head on.

Earlier in the day President Kagame had told the Cabinet ministers and other leaders that their primary responsibility is to create value and wealth for the Rwandan people. He noted that by lifting the people out of poverty, the country would become less reliant on aid, and would, therefore, be treated with the value it deserves.
