I support Coach Tetteh

Editor, While many people will probably complain about the fact that the Amavubi head coach Sellas Tetteh has confirmed that he will not make any more additions to the national side that defeated Kiyovu Sport 2-0 win at the Amahoro stadium, I utterly support him. Lets look at the facts. How many of those so-called ‘professionals’ play either regular football, are in good form or play in a competitive league? While the Gatete’s, Karekezi’s and Katauti’s played huge roles in the national setup, its time they were put to pasture.

Editor,

While many people will probably complain about the fact that the Amavubi head coach Sellas Tetteh has confirmed that he will not make any more additions to the national side that defeated Kiyovu Sport 2-0 win at the Amahoro stadium, I utterly support him.

Lets look at the facts. How many of those so-called ‘professionals’ play either regular football, are in good form or play in a competitive league? While the Gatete’s, Karekezi’s and Katauti’s played huge roles in the national setup, its time they were put to pasture.

There is a new group of Rwandan players who are hungry and want to play against the best Africa has to offer. This team is a long-term project; let’s be patient and we’ll reap what we’ve sown.

I bet that this young team will give us much joy in the next 4-5 years. The coach is doing the right thing.
