I’m excited by the fact that already four teams arrived yesterday to play in the highly anticipated Afrobasket U-18 Kagame Cup, which will begin on Friday at the Amahoro indoor stadium.

These teams are defending champions Egypt, five-time champions Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Congo Brazzaville. Another batch of teams including Tunisia, Algeria, Angola, Mali and Gabon are expected to arrive today.

We will be watching the best young talent Africa has and I’m sure that it will be a great competition. I urge our boys to do us proud. We shall support you 100 percent.
