Kizito Mihigo expected next week

Kizito Mihigo, Rwanda’s famed artist based in Belgium is expected in the country early next week to kick off preparations for his two concerts. His first concert ‘Inshingano z’Uwababariwe’ will be held on October 30, 2010 at Gikondo Parish, while ‘Umuhire Watubyariye Umugisha,’ on November 27, in Kibeho, Northern Province, at the 29th jubilee of the appearances of the Virgin Mary.

Kizito Mihigo, Rwanda’s famed artist based in Belgium is expected in the country early next week to kick off preparations for his two concerts. 

His first concert ‘Inshingano z’Uwababariwe’ will be held on October 30, 2010 at Gikondo Parish, while ‘Umuhire Watubyariye Umugisha,’ on November 27, in Kibeho, Northern Province, at the 29th jubilee of the appearances of the Virgin Mary.

In an interview, Mihigo told The New Times that he intends to invite ‘Christus Regnat’ and Il est Vivants” choirs for backup.

The 29-old-year is an organist, singer and composer, and a music teacher at Institut Provincial of Brabant Wallon, in Belgium.

Mihigo will be returning to the country for the third time this year, after he was invited to perform on the 16th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and at the recent Presidential campaigns, in his concert dubbed ‘Dutore dutuje’.
