Rwanda welcomes China cooperation

The Minister of Infrastructure, Vincent Karega, has said that Rwanda holds with high regard the cooperation that exists between Rwanda and China. Karega made the remarks during celebrations to mark the 61st Chinese National Day that were held at the Chinese embassy, yesterday.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Vincent Karega, has said that Rwanda holds with high regard the cooperation that exists between Rwanda and China.

Karega made the remarks during celebrations to mark the 61st Chinese National Day that were held at the Chinese embassy, yesterday.  He went on to congratulate the people of China on the anniversary and wished them well.
The Minister pointed out that the government highly appreciates the support and excellent relations that exist between the two countries.

"We appreciate the steady support that the Chinese Government has consistently been providing in the sector of health, agriculture, education, infrastructure and capacity building,” Karega said.

The minister went on to say that China’s role in multilateral settings has been very crucial and has worked to the betterment of the entire human race.

On his part, the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Sun Shuzhong noted that in recent years, the China-Rwanda relations have grown significantly, bearing fruitful practical results in various fields.

"As we gather tonight to celebrate the 61st anniversary and honor the relationship between China and Rwanda, we have every reason to believe that with the efforts of both sides, China and Rwanda will make new headway in their respective national development and China-Rwanda ties will grow stronger and closer,” Shuzhong said.

China National Day is the anniversary of the People’s Republic of China which was founded in 1949.
