Recently, women have engaged in various jobs, and gained respect in society. Many think that a woman’s rightful place in society is in the home.

However, happiness and security that results from a woman being a wife and mother should not be sacrificed for a little extra money and a few material possessions.

The principle to bear in mind is that any outside work that could hinder a woman from properly fulfilling her responsibilities in the home is not worth the monetary gain she may receive in return.

Some people do believe that women who work outside the home could exacerbate many problems, which cause pernicious effects on society, and that women too are assaulted by the temptations of the world.

I am of the view that not only women are assailed by the temptations of the world, but men as well. In my opinion, because every one feels temptations of crimes no matter where they are, it is really up to the man and woman if they overcome those temptations.

Moreover, people usually plan and think up these crimes when they have nothing to do. For instance, if a woman gets busy and enjoys living with realistic achievements from the work out side the home, she would not even have time to think about doing a misdeed.

For instance, one Mukankusi Dorothy, 31 years, and a shop keeper from Kimironko says that confining a wife only at house hold work is not good since it adds income to the family. Many women are convinced that they both must work to earn enough money to fund the family hence increasing the family wellbeing Dorothy currently earns 250000 francs a month.

Florence Kayitesi, 29 years, and  a market vendor at Remera says that in her view, men and women should have equal share of their family responsibilities, so denying a wife to get a job outside the household work should automatically transfer the husbsand’s responsibilities of home to the husbands.

Florence says that sha searches for fulfillment and challenge. Some women simply are not convinced that staying at home with their children maximizes their skills and talents.

Umulisa Susan a shop attendant of 35 years from Kicukiro shares the same view with Florence; "she says that in order to build a strong family a wife and a husband should bring in an income so as to improve the welfare of the family hence giving themselves  a comfortable life. "Women should engage in various kinds of jobs, and they have been advancing in society”, said Umulisa.

Nonetheless, there may be times when the husband is unable to provide adequate support because of illness or other extenuating circumstances. It might then be necessary for the wife to obtain a job to support the family, said Susan Mukakabera a business lady of 34 years.

However, Nowadays, there are vast amounts of places where women can work, in most cases, the wages earned by the man cannot support the entire family; thus, both parents must go to work in order to fulfill and support the family needs. I am also the view that women shouldn’t be left home to cater for their children.

I also think that caring about children doesn’t only mean parents stay with children with children long time, but a mother also should have to help their children when they really need the parents help.

Instance, one ignance Kagabo 15 years says " my mother has been working in an office since I was a child; however, she has always given me good advice and led me a responsible person. Even if I have not had much time with my mother, I didn’t take the wrong way because of her advice and care”.

In conclusion, women should go outside to work and show men what they can contribute to the society and their family. Therefore, working outside home for women should be encouraged and facilitated to every family in the world. Women should not just be confined in the house to do just the household chores.

They should go outside to work and show men what they can contribute to the society and their family. Therefore, working outside home for women should be encouraged and facilitated to every family.
