KIGALI - City businessman and former main shareholder at the once famous nightclub, B-Club discotheque,  in Nyarutarama, Barry Ndengeyingoma alias Ndengeye,  is  wanted for allegedly orchestrating the blaze that gutted the building after falling out with his partners, The New Times has established.

According to a police source familiar with the investigations, the flamboyant highflier fell out with Theogene Kubwimana and Emile Havugimana after the duo refused to meet Ndengeye’s demand for more money, for a stake in the discotheque. Havugimana is the proprietor of Impala Hotel in Kigali. 

According to source, the duo refused to pay Ndengeye after they discovered that the money they had initially given to him was equivalent to the shares they owned. 
"He therefore decided to also bring down his co-partners by setting ablaze the entire club,” the police source said.

By the time the fire gutted the entire second floor of KL House which housed the discotheque in February; Ndengeye had already made plans to open his own B-Club in Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Police has already issued a notice for whoever knows the whereabouts Ndengeye, to notify the nearest authorities.

The notice which is hung on some police posts partly reads: "He (Ndengeye) is wanted by the Criminal Investigation Department headquarters/Criminal Records Office (CID/CRO) in Kacyiru for allegedly setting ablaze a building. Whoever knows him and his whereabouts can bring him to CID HQs, CRO office, nearby police or the prosecution.”

Ndengeye who is also the owner of Palm Hotel in Gisenyi, in the Western Province, had also been arrested and imprisoned in Brussels, Belgium in for crimes he allegedly committed when he was still in Europe before returning to Rwanda in December 2006.
