This letter is with reference to your article yesterday titled "Hoping our athletes can ride on the Delhi situation .”
A warm welcome to the first batch of athletes who are already in New Delhi and we do look forward to having the rest of Team Rwanda with us in India.
It has been a great challenge for the concerned authorities here , but we do hope and pray that despite all the problems, the Commonwealth Games 2010 will go on smoothly without any untoward incident.
Rwandans have proved to the world that they are extremely resilient and it is my firm belief that they will not only ride on the Delhi situation but also emerge with flying colours!
For Rwanda, this is definitely a very special event , as this great nation will be competing for the very first time as part of the Commonwealth .
Please allow me to congratulate all the Rwandan athletes for their participation and to wish Team Rwanda every success in the forthcoming Commonwealth Games 2010.
