Fina Bank and Caisse Sociale Rwanda have injected in Frw2m on top of cricket equipment worthy Frw0.6m in this year’s Schools Cricket tournament scheduled for October 2-17.

Ten schools will battle it out in the boys’ category and they include: Apade, Kagarama, Apred Ndera, Kigali Combined, Lycee de Kigali, ISAE Busogo, Rukara College of Education, ADB Nyarutarama and Effotec-Kanombe Combined.

The girls’ competition will have four schools; Apade, Kagarama, Kigali Combined and Apred Ndera.
Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA) Secretary General, Emmanuel Byiringiro, told Times Sport that the competition will provide them (RCA) an opportunity to scout for raw talent among the players and also thanked Fina Bank and CSR for sponsoring the annual tourney.

"I take this opportunity to thank Caisse Sociale and Fina Bank for investing in cricket. We shall use this opportunity to look out for talented young players,” Byiringiro said.
ADB Nyarutarama won the boys crown last season while Kagarama will be hoping to retain the trophy in the girls’ category.
