Rwandans in S. Korea celebrate Kagame’s victory

The Embassy of Rwanda in South Korea on Wednesday hosted a victory party for President Paul Kagame for winning the August Presidential polls.

The Embassy of Rwanda in South Korea on Wednesday hosted a victory party for President Paul Kagame for winning the August Presidential polls.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Eugene Segore Kayihura, highlighted recent government achievements and what the embassy expected from the Diaspora community.
He hailed the Diaspora for turning up in large numbers to exercise their democratic right by electing their President in the recently concluded elections.

During the ceremony, Rwanda - S. Korea Diaspora network was officially launched and election of office bearers was successfully conducted.

The event was attended by over 70 Rwandans in Korea and friends of Rwanda, the majority being students doing Masters and PhD courses in various academic disciplines.
The Embassy was officially opened in November 2008.
