RWANDA Tennis Federation (RTF) is organizing an ITF Tennis Tutors’ course, it will be held at Laico Umubano Hotel from September 23-27.

The federation’s technical director Thierry Ntwali told Times Sport on Tuesday that the course is aimed at giving tennis skills to local coaches.

"The course will be helpful to Rwandan coaches who want to excel in their profession. It is the first coaching course of its kind to be held in Rwanda.

"The course will attract 13 coaches who will do the main course while 18 other coaches will do a special tutorial course,” said Ntwali.

The official added that the main objective of this course is to enable beginners to play tennis quickly (serve, rally and score), and to run stimulating and entertaining sessions for starter players.

The course which has attracted local coaches and four (coaches) from Burundi, will be conducted by Mark Tenant from Great Britain.

Active tennis players like Rwanda’s Dieudonne Habiyambere, Janvier Mugwaneza and Burundi’s Hassan Mrisho are among the entrants for this tennis course.
