An international American gospel star, Dave Lubben, has commended Rwandan gospel music, saying it’s unique and great to listen to.

Lubben told The New Times that he enjoyed the music and performances during the Kigali Hope Festival.
"I was in Kigali last year; I loved the way Rwandans dance and sing… artists put life in their lyrics.”

However, Lubben urged artists to exploit excessively the talent God gave them and to concentrate on the gospel music.

He noted that gospel music has played a fundamental role in healing the wounds of the genocide survivours, by promoting unity and reconciliation in country.
