Parliamentarians pay RNOC courtesy visit

SIX members of Parliament yesterday visited the Rwanda National Olympic Committee in their on-going assessment of the difficulties that could be affecting the general standards sports in the country.

SIX members of Parliament yesterday visited the Rwanda National Olympic Committee in their on-going assessment of the difficulties that could be affecting the general standards sports in the country.

The Commission on Education, Culture and Sports was led by Agnes Mukazibera. Others on the commission include; Emmanuel Mudidi (the vice president), Euthalie Nyirabega, Jean Baptista Zimurinda and Alvera Mujawayezu.

According an official of the Olympic Committee, the main objective of the the honorable members of parliament’s visit was to get first-hand information regarding the problems facing the Olympic family.

RNOC Executive Director Thierry Ntwali said, "They simply wanted to know the problems the local Olympic family is faced with so that they could try and find solutions through their sessions in parliaments.”
