FERWABA Select have one thing on their mind this weekend; to win their game and do it convincingly. The team entertains UGB this morning before wrapping up their league campaign tomorrow afternoon against Rusizi.

The youngster-dominated side, which will contribute the lion’s share of Rwanda’s team for the Afro-Basket U-18 Kagame Cup which is slated for next month, has been in superb form in their last two games and head coach Paris Nelson wants the run to continue.

After pounding Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) 71-53, the team also thrashed 2004 league champions Espoir 69-29.

Nelson also reckons that the weekend games will help assess the team’s level of preparation. "These games not only assess the players, they also build teamwork,” Nelson noted.

Today’s other game pits Rusizi against Espoir.
