The decision by President Paul Kagame to retain the same cabinet as he embarks on his second mandate will ensure continuity and help build on the achievements that have so far been realized. As the Head of State said during the swearing in of the Prime Minister, indeed, there is no reason to change a winning team.

The country has continuously initiated new project s and by the time the elections were held, some of them were still underway. For purposes of continuity, it is important that the same team is maintained and given the opportunity to complete what they started.

Important to note is that, remarkable progress has been achieved. However, the future presents more challenges as expectations from the public have increased. Generally, the bar has been raised.

For the Ministers, the ball is now in their court. They have been trusted with leadership and the public will expect nothing short of results.

The public is already enjoying the benefits of the development the country has experienced. Good roads, health care, free education to mention but a few.  To further improve on the living standards, the general population will also have to work harder.

The combination of good leadership and a hard working citizenry will keep the country on the development track that will accelerate the progress.
