‘Talent Detection’ close to an end

With just five-days to the final competitions, preparations for ‘Talent Detection’ are set in full gears. In Kigali, registration is being held at different venues: Kimisagara, Biryogo, Mumena, Kamenge, Nyamirambo, Nyakabanda, Muhima, Nyabugogo and Cyahafi at Rwf 3,000.

With just five-days to the final competitions, preparations for ‘Talent Detection’ are set in full gears.

In Kigali, registration is being held at different venues: Kimisagara, Biryogo, Mumena, Kamenge, Nyamirambo, Nyakabanda, Muhima, Nyabugogo and Cyahafi at Rwf 3,000. 

The grand finale of ‘Talent Detection’ is scheduled for Saturday September 18. Entrance fee is at Rwf 1,000; the venue will be communicated early this week.

The long-awaited event will be graced by various personalities, including Daniella, Knowles, Ghalia, Babou, Jack B, Ellion Victory, Kamichi, Jay Polly, Dream Boyz, Just Family, Paccy, Riderman and KGB. 

Mr. Skizzy whose real name is Gaston Rurangwa told The New Times that the contestants will compete in R&B and Hip-hop. Top three winners from each category will sign a recording contract for one album (CDs & DVDs) from the local studios.

Mr. Skizzy, who is also a presenter on V.O.A, said he is working with local producers Lick Lick, Pastor P and Jay P to ensure the event is successful.

He explained that the aim of ‘Talent Detection’ is to give upcoming artists platform on which to develop their music talent, win recording deals, as well as get a taste of fame.
