Editor,

This letter is in reference to your article in yesterdays edition of your newspaper entitled "Rwanda tops EAC in competitiveness.” Please allow me to congratulate the Government of Rwanda, John Gara, CEO, Clare Akamanzi, COO and their dynamic, pro-active team at the  Rwanda Development Board as well as all other agencies, which have ensured that Rwanda tops the EAC in competitiveness and even secured the number six rank among all African countries.

When world bodies recognize and evaluate the nation so favourably it is high time for all those who are trying to pull the country down to stop their negative comments, reports and adverse publicity which they try to spread about this great nation.

I am wishing Rwanda and her people continued success and for sure the country will climb the ladder of success and be ranked much higher next year.

Kind regards,

Clarence Fernandes
