NYAGATARE/GATSIBO-Businesses in Nyagatare and Gatsibo districts were on Monday morning disrupted as hundreds of residents turned up to celebrate the swearing-in of President Paul Kagame in their respective villages.

In Nyagatare town, residents from several villages converged at Greenland Bar and Restaurant for the colourful event.

The ceremony was punctuated by testimonies of success stories by residents who attributed their achievements to the good leadership and security provided by President Kagame during his first term in office.

The residents followed the inauguration and subsequent speech on radio from the National stadium. Commenting on the inaugural speech, many said it was ‘constructive’.

"I don’t know how I can express the love I have for our president…but the speech he has just delivered to us is a constructive one,” one of the excited residents said.

Residents of Gatsibo District prayed for Kagame and wished him a peaceful and Godly seven-year term he has just embarked on.
