Medics celebrate RPF victory

GICUMBI - medical workers at Byumba Hospital and Gicumbi District health centre last Friday, celebrated the RPF’s victory in the recently concluded Presidential elections.

GICUMBI - medical workers at Byumba Hospital and Gicumbi District health centre last Friday, celebrated the RPF’s victory in the recently concluded Presidential elections.

The celebrations took place at the newly opened revellers’ joint, Chez Munyakazi. Speaking to The New Times, the Director of Byumba Hospital Dr. Fred Muhairwe, said medics who are party members in the entire district contributed funds from their own resources to finance the event.

"RPF medical personnel in Gicumbi District are behind President Paul Kagame in his quest to promote health facilities for all Rwandans, which is why we have drawn from our own resources to celebrate his victory,” said Dr. Muhairwe.

Addressing those present, the district party chairman and Mayor, Bonane Nyangezi hailed the medical personnel for organising the ceremony.

"This shows how committed you are to work hand in hand with President Kagame, to steer Rwanda to economic prosperity,” said Nyangezi.

The director of Ruhenda medical centre, Charles Nsengiyumva, hailed the government for guaranteeing healthcare for all, through construction of health centres in rural areas.

During the celebrations, the medical personnel sung and danced to party songs till late.
