I agree with Rwanda’s stance on the ICC

Editor, I strongly agree with Rwanda’s support of  Kenya and its decision to invite Omar al-Bashir to Nairobi, inspite of efforts by the International Criminal Court (ICC). We cannot allow foreign entities like the ICC to govern the way we choose to conduct our foreign policy. Personally, I don’t think that the ICC has the best interests of the people of Darfur at heart.

Editor,

I strongly agree with Rwanda’s support of  Kenya and its decision to invite Omar al-Bashir to Nairobi, inspite of efforts by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

We cannot allow foreign entities like the ICC to govern the way we choose to conduct our foreign policy. Personally, I don’t think that the ICC has the best interests of the people of Darfur at heart.

If it did it would give the President of Sudan, along with the regional bodies engaged in the Sudanese peace process, an opportunity to find a way to halt the civil war and the killings. How indicting the Sudanese Head of State will help the peoples of Sudan is beyond me.
