Rwanda invited to K’la Rotary meet

KAMPALA - Rwanda has been invited to participate in the forthcoming Continental Rotary Conference slated for September 13 to 19 in Kampala. The conference that is expected to attract over 500 delegates will discuss development challenges facing the continent and how they can increase the organization’s effectiveness.

KAMPALA - Rwanda has been invited to participate in the forthcoming Continental Rotary Conference slated for September 13 to 19 in Kampala.

The conference that is expected to attract over 500 delegates will discuss development challenges facing the continent and how they can increase the organization’s effectiveness.

The president of Rotary International, Ray Klinginsmith, is expected to address the conference.

According the conference’s organiser, Stephen Mwanje, Rwanda was invited as a member of the Rotary family.
"We are expecting a number of delegates from Rwanda because by virtue of their being members, we have got so much in common and we have worked together on several projects.

He further noted that the conference will also focus on training and empowering young people in Africa on issues pertaining to good governance, community assistance and other developmental issues.
