The 29-man delegation which is composed of 20 players and nine officials departed at 4.00am aboard RwandAir before reconnecting to Western African town were they are scheduled to arrive at 2pm (CAT).

Before departure, Coach Sellas Tetteh called on Rwandans to be patient and support the national team.
"This is a difficult game that we are going to play. We will be playing a highly respectable side but we hope to come up with a positive result.

"It is just patience that will get us through these qualifiers and enable the country to build and elevate its football standards,” said Tetteh.

He added, "We have had a good training period and I have confidence in this team. Our aim is to play a victorious game and let’s wait for what will be delivered.”

Tetteh will be boosted by the availability Jean Baptista Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi who has been allowed by FC Koln to feature for Amavubi stars on Saturday.
