About 248 police officers and other ranks from Interforce Unit, last Sunday, completed a four-month training in shooting and martial art tactics.

The pass out ceremony held in Nasho Sector, Kirehe District was presided over by the Commissioner General of Police, Emmanuel Gasana.

The ceremony started with a pistol platoon and martial art team displayed various skills learnt in the course to the police leadership that attended the function.

The presentation involved intensive skills of self defence and crowd management. Gasana commended all those who contributed to the success of the training.

He appealed to the officers to maintain discipline and professionalism in their new respective deployments and be role models to future trainees.

"Training is the best welfare you can give to the force and the only best way to go,” Gasana said, adding that any force needs to pass through regular trainings in order to effectively execute their duties.
