SEVENS-ASIDE tournaments are still proving to be a big dilemma for the national men’s rugby team-the Silverbacks.
The team missed out on reaching the Bowl Cup final after a late conversion by Blak bald of Kenya which gifted the home side a 19-15 victory.

Scrum half Lucien Bikamba, Ignace Nsanzimana (winger) and Moise Habumugisha scored Rwanda’s tries.
It was a below par display from the Silverbacks going by Captain Juma Adams’ pre-tournament interview with Times Sport last week.

"Our target is to reach the Main Cup final. We are prepared to play our hearts out,” he said before the team’s departure.

Drawn in Group C, Silverbacks lost out to Nakuru (33-0) and Blak Blad (21-7) before grinding out a consolation 33-0 win over Webuye.

Mwamba retained the Main Cup after thrashing Quins 17-10 in what was an all-Kenyan final.
