INNOCENT  Uwamungu and Eric Sinamenye have been selected to take part in a two months training camp at the African Continental Cycling Center in Potchefstroom, South Africa.

The Executive Secretary of the national cycling body (Ferwacy) Emmanuel Murenzi explained that the pair was selected because they are promising riders.

"They have proved to us that they have a lot of potential so we are helping them exploit this chance,” Murenzi said.
"It is good exposure since they will be training alongside cyclists from different parts of the Africa.”

In this year’s Kwita Izina cycling tour, Uwamungu, 22, finished 8th while Sinamenye, who recently turned 20 rounded off the top ten.

While confirming that this year’s Tour of Kigali would be held in October, the cycling official also affirmed that Rwanda would host the 2010 Africa Cycling Championship in November.
