THE alarm clock wails like hell bell. But no matter how hard you strive, you can’t lift your head off the pillow, dragging your body out of bed seems to be the hardest thing to do.

Your mind commands you to wake up, but your body refuses to comply. If this is you, you are not alone, because millions of people across the world hate Mondays.

Many people wish they sleep on Sunday night and wake up on Friday evening, as Sunday draws to a close; the thought of Monday morning haunts you and leaves you feeling black and blue in the heart.

The bitter truth is Mondays are here to stay. However, the good news is that there are things that can be done to ease the ‘Monday’ tension.

Tips on how to deal with Mondays

Avoid ‘partying hard’ for example, on Sunday nights. Sunday evenings should be reserved for relaxation and preparation for the new week. If you spend it working or partying, you are likely to get up feeling tired and weak.
Take the extra time on Friday to get as much work done as possible, leaving little to do on Monday morning.

Have a plan for something special on Monday evening. Plan an event with your friends, spouse or a family member; this will make get through the day much easier knowing you have something to look forward to after work.

Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable and good, if you feel good, you will automatically look spectacular, you will also find that when you know that you look good, the Monday distress will fades away, replaced with confidence and a sense of winning. This weekend don’t waste your precious Sundays worrying about Monday.
