Editor,

The call from the Rwanda National Police that proprietors of hospitality facilities like hotels, lodges, nightclubs and guesthouses, improve security at their premises as a way of protecting their clients and their businesses is long overdue. After the first couple of grenade attacks I waited in vain for the various nightspots to improve their security.

I asked myself whether the proprietors of the nightspots had their customers’ best interests at heart. They should have immediately installed metal detectors. I hope that with the involvement of the police, proprietors will finally do something about our security.
