PREPARATIONS for Anaella Rusaro’s debut album launch are in full gear. 

The 20 -year-old, Rusaro is an upcoming gospel singer and songwriter best known by her stage name Nana.

Her album ‘Inshuti idasanzwe’ was produced at Narrow Road Production by Pastor P and, will be launched in a live concert scheduled for August 27, at Serena Hotel, Kigali— entrance fee is Rwf4000 and Rwf5000 for the VIP.

Local gospel artists Jimmy Muhiro, Aime Uwimana, Gabi Kamanzi, Diane Nkusi, Dominci Nic, Justine Cubaka, Livingstone Brother, Juru Amandine, Arsene Manzi and The Blessing are scheduled to perform.

Burundian maestro gospel artist Apollinaire Habonimana will also grace the concert. He is expected to belt some of his hits ‘Bongo Medley’, ‘Feeling’s Back’, Envy The Love, and ‘Give It Up’ to mention a few.

During a press conference held on Wednesday, August 18 at Mama Africa Restaurant, the hop-hip artist pledged to stage a vibrant concert.

Rusaro, was born in Bujumbura, Burundi, and raised by showbiz parents Cobra (Eugène Habimana) and Chantal Ntabashwa. She grew up listening to secular music and, as a teenager she performed in her father’s band ‘Muchachos.’

However, after getting saved Rusaro began to pursue a gospel music career. She became famous on Aug 27, 2007, after the release of ‘Inshuti idasanzwe’.

Rusaro is ranked among the country’s potential gospel artists; she was last week voted as the ‘Best Gospel Artist of the Week’ by Moriah Entertainment Group.

"Since I started singing for God, my life changed and I don’t intend to go back to secular music,” Rusaro said.

According to Moriah’s official, Patrick Kanyamibwa, Rusaro is a talented artist and, she is determined to serve God.
