Weasel, Tom Close and Radio

Tom Close, a member of the Goodlyfe, is in Kampala, Uganda shooting the video ‘Mama wabana’, along with crewmates, Radio and Weasel. 

The acclaimed hit, ‘Mama wabana’ is in Kinyarwanda, Luganda, and English to give choice of language to music lovers.

Goodlyfe is a Ugandan music group, originally comprised of the duo, Radio and Weasel. The group was formed in 2008, when the duet fell apart with Chameleon, the founder of the Leone Island crew.

While in Uganda, Tom Close is also recording a series of singles, including ‘Impamvu”, in pop style.

In an interview, Washington, Goodlyfe’s producer confirmed the project, he added that ‘Mama wabana’ video will be released early next year.

The producer, who also speaks highly of Tom Close said, The Rwandan artist is talented and, has the potential to become professional.

"Tom Close is a nice and talented young guy,” Washington told The New Times on phone.  "He doesn’t compete with anyone; instead his fellow artists compete against him.”

The award-winning R&B singer, Tom Close, who is also a student at the National University of Rwanda, joined the Goodlyfe crew early this year. He is expected to return tomorrow.
