This letter is in reference to your article published yesterday entitled "Rwanda runners start medal quest in Singapore ". Please allow me to wish all Rwandans participating in the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games every success in their respective events.

However, what one must bear in mind is the spirit with which one participates and represents this great nation.

The very fact that these budding athletes have the grit and determination to compete in this international event is a victory in itself. Having said this, it is my sincere hope that  the Rwandan team will come back home with some honours.
