President Paul Kagame, on Sunday, joined hundreds of worshippers for the 28th annual National Prayer Breakfast at Kigali Convention Centre on January 15.

Organised by Rwanda Leaders Fellowship (RLF), a not-for-profit organisation, the annual prayer meeting brings together senior leaders in the public and private domains for fellowship, to celebrate the country’s achievements in the past year, and reflect and pray over national goals in the year ahead.

While addressing worshippers, Kagame tasked leaders to carry the burden of responsibility while leading the people.

The annual event that brought together government officials, private sector leaders, diplomats, and senior religious leaders, among others, was held under the theme "patriotism, a cornerstone for sustainable development.”

The New Times photographer Olivier Mugwiza attended the event and captured different highlights of the event.
