Rwandans celebrating Paul Kagameu2019s victory all night.

Editor,

THE only way that this nation will achieve its Vision 2020 goals is if the Rwandan people are part and parcel of the nation’s development. The only way this will be possible is when the people are well educated and trained. One cannot expect to develop if people can barely read and write.

That is why I am so pleased that the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) Presidential candidate, Paul Kagame, has said that he intends to increase free education from nine to 12 years.

He made this remarks during a campaign rally in Kamonyi District. While a 9 year basic education initiative is certainly commendable, making the entire primary and secondary level free is a step that will undoubtedly give those who hadn’t been able to get a thorough education the chance.
