Patrick Nyamitari

LATELY, the local music industry is showing great improvement, with secular and gospel artists exploiting their talent and spending lots of hours in studios, recording their singles and albums.

One of these gifted and hardworking artists is Patrick Nyamitari.

Who is Patrick Nyamitari?

Patrick Nyamitari, 24, is one of the most established young gospel artists in the country. Growing up in Huye (formerly Butare), he always wanted to sing.

Through his worship and praise music, Nyamitari has become one of the most recognisable faces on Rwanda’s entertainment scene, having performed various concerts in the country and in the region.

Nyamitari’s singles, including ‘Ur’Imana’-(You Are God) and his latest album ‘Niwe Messiya’ (He is the Messiah) have earned some impressive airplay on the local radio stations.
He has worked with famous artists, including Mani Martin. Apart from singing, Nyamitari is a student at the Adventist University of Central Africa.

The singer, who works with Moriah Entertainment Group, loves music, but hates injustices and anything that can lead to genocide.
