Alexander Koch, Bralirwa’s Commercial Director told Times Sport that the Primus Cup will offer his company a good platform for activation of its flagship brand-Primus.

"The tournament will no doubt give our flagship brand Primus the positioning it needs as a brand equated with great moments that the national league offers,” Koch told this paper after signing the deal yesterday at the national football federation headquarters in Remera.

Ferwafa’s Kalisa said the organisation of the tournament at this stage of the season is a very important element in the calendar of Rwandan football.

"With the support from Bralirwa, local football is now getting better day by day. With Rwf35 million injected in this tourney, it is imperative for the teams to show their commitment to the game through fielding their best teams,” Kalisa said.

The Primus Cup is being used as a curtain raiser for next season which will start on September 10th. Teams will have the luxury of fielding as many players as possible including new signings and trialists.
