Labour market study is the way to go

Editor,

I read in The New Times of Thursday August 5, that the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) is currently conducting a survey to establish the needs of the labour market.

This, I must say, is a very good initiative because very often when fresh graduates are employed, they lack the practical skills to perform their assigned tasks.

I believe through this survey, the researchers will be able to determine the trends of various organizations, companies and the government in relation to the skills required.

And, once Rwandan institutions of higher learning adjusts their curriculums accordingly, It will be a win-win situation for the Universities, employers and the graduates too.
