Producer Element.

Element, one of the best audio producers in Rwanda who also ventured into singing last year, is said to have departed from Country Records label, according to different reports.

Element joined Country Records in 2020 after finishing high school, and it was through the label that the 23-year-old producer got the name he has today in Rwanda’s music industry.

In his recent interview with The New Times, founder of Country Records, Noopja, didn’t deny Element’s departure from the label nor did he approve it, a sign that the producer might have terminated his contract with one of the biggest studios in Rwanda.

"I don’t know anything about that. I’m not in the country,” Noopja said, claiming not to know anything about a studio he owns.

The New Times tried to speak to producer Element in the past few days but failed to reach him.

In other news, it is said that Element signed a two years deal with 1:55am Entertainment that will see him bag 15 million Rwandan francs just to produce for the label. Non of the both parties have confirmed the deal.

The New Times also learnt that Element has been training Kozze, a new producer in Country Records, to replace him.

Element, real name Fred Robinson Mugisha, is credited for producing some of the hits that boosted Rwanda’s music industry, which is why he remains a deal for studios and record labels in Rwanda.
