Rwanda’s film director launches a book

Upcoming film director and actor, Edouard Nduwayo Bamporiki, yesterday launched his book ‘Icyaha kuri bo, Ikimwaro kuri jye’, (Sin to them, shame on me).

The event which attracted government officials including the Minister of Sports and Culture, Joseph Habineza, and Dr. Jean Baptiste Habyarimana, the Executive Secretary of National Unity and Reconciliation Commission, was held at the Serena Hotel, Kigali. 

The book ‘Icyaha kuri bo, Ikimwaro kuri jye’ is 124 pages long and talks about the journey of reconciliation in relation to the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

At the same event, Bampoliki, 26, who also starred in the film ‘Long Coat’, also launched a new film called ‘Ukuri kuri he’—(where is the truth) which premiered on the same night.
