RWANDA’s U-20 African Youth Championship return leg qualifier against Congo Brazzaville, which had initially been schedule for Saturday, will be played on Sunday instead, local football body, Ferwafa has confirmed.

Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport yesterday that the game was shifted to Sunday to pave way for the Presidential campaigns which will be climaxing on Saturday in Kigali.

"We shifted the tie to Sunday such that we could pave way for the Presidential campaigns which would be ending on Saturday. By doing so, we won’t be worried about the turn-up of supporters the following day at Nyamirambo stadium,” said Kalisa.

The local football body also confirmed that Congo Brazzaville arrives in the country this afternoon aboard Ethiopian Airways.

Congo Brazzaville beat Rwanda 2-0 in the first leg played away in Point Noir and now task awaits the Junior Wasps, who must win by a three-goal margin 3-0 on Sunday to be assured of participating in the final qualifying round.

Sellas Tetteh’s side has been involved a number of training matches against local opposition. Early this week, they demolished Ferwafa academy 4-0 before giving a football lesson to Primus league side AS Kigali were they won by a 5-1 yesterday.

SC Villa based striker Kipson Atuheire scored a hat trick while Dady Kibaya scored a brace and Emmanuel Sebanani was on target too. AS Kigali scored their consolation through Iman Amran.
