Editor,

I attended the FESPAD opening and the Jungle party in Gisenyi which I must say was a memorable experience. The dancers, artistes and music groups were a great selection.

However, the sound system was a menace. The artistes kept complaining and in some instances were interrupted with sharp squeaking noise. The organizers risked ruining the concerts.

For the next year, I would like to appeal to those in the entertainment industry to invest in sound equipment. This is an area that is often overlooked, yet it plays a crucial role in ensuring great concerts.

If by the next FESPAD there is no available sound equipment, the organizers should include sufficient funds in their budget to import good quality sound.
