As the country celebrates the 7th edition of FESPAD (Pan-African Dance Festival), the big question is whether dance is a profitable profession in Rwanda. Society Magazine’s LINDA MBABAZI asked some Rwandans what they thought about taking up professional dance as a career.
"Dancing is great business. Professional dancers are rich people and create jobs for others, including technicians. For example; I am not a dancer, but dancers have created a job for me and this is how I earn my living. I install the sound, lights, e.t.c. I have also been able to travel to different countries because of the kind of job dancers and musicians have created for me.”
