MIKE E, The US based Ethiopian Hip-Hop star of the Afroflow group donated 1000USD to Mashirika Creative and Performing arts group during a press conference at the Rwanda Development Board Headquarters yesterday.

Several regional and international artists attended the conference prior to FESPAD‘s Jungle party in Rubavu District, at the KIVU Sun beach tonight.

Mike E appreciated the work done by Mashirika who have worked hard towards promoting dance and performing arts among the youth.

He said that: "I want to support Mashirika with a small seed of 1000USD because the other thing is that we Africans and artists have plenty of words but I think practical deeds go a little further.”

"Rwanda as a Nation is trying to rebuild while at the same time is at the forefront of promoting performing arts across the African Diaspora. This is incredible and it’s heading to the right direction,” Mike E said.

Regional artists such Grace Nakimera, the Goodlyf Crew—Radio and Weasel from Uganda, local artist Nutty Dread and Hope Azeda of the Mashirika Creative and Performing Arts group had a lot to say about the ongoing FESPAD dance festival.
